An Improved Flow Control Mechanism for FC-SAN Storage Extension
摘要
Abstract
Storage extension is the basis of disaster recovery,in order to prevent it from the performance degradation caused by the asynchronism of flow control between fibre channel and extension network. This paper presented an improved flow control mechanism in gateway for storage extension, the new method regulated the updating frequency of Credit according to the relation between the queue length and it's high or low limit marker. An simulation model for improved flow control is established based on OPNET, simulation results show that the improved flow control method can effectively improve the performance of storage extension and decrease the queuing latency of fibre channel frame in extension gateway.关键词
