摘要

Abstract

CO poisoning mechanism has been investigated. The influences for CO on the activation loss, ohmic loss, and concentration loss were discussed separately, and then the model for the effect of CO on the performance of PEMFC was obtained. The cell voltage dropped severely in the presence of CO at moderate current density, That is due to that the decrease of limit current density caused by CO coverage. This model is validated by a test on a 50 cm~2 single cell in the presence of 1 × 10~(-6) CO in hydrogen,and the output of the model shows a good agreement with experiment results.
