摘要

Abstract

Ultrafine nano-sized AlN powders were hot pressed at low temperature of 1 500 - 1 700℃ and mechanical properties were investigated. β-AlN and β-Al_2O_ are detected when the hot pressing temperature is 1 600℃. The phase transition β-AlN to α-AlN was discovered at a 1 700℃ hot pressing temperature. Relative density and average grain size were increase with the increasing of hot pressing temperature, and fracture form is intercrystalline crack at 1 500℃ and transcrystalline crack at 1 700℃. Relative density of 97. 3% , average grain size of 850nm. Vickers hardness of 15. 54GPa and fracture toughness of 3. 5MPa · m~(1/2) are obtained at 1 700℃.
