摘要

Abstract

The research advances in preparation and properties of FeAl (B_2) intermetallics were reviewed. Casting and powder metallurgy are major methods for FeAl preparation. Effective toughening of FeAl can be achieved by alloying, gain-size refinement, heat treatment and incorporating into composites. Alloying also helps to increase the high temperature strength and creep resistance by introducing secondary-phase particles for precipitation hardening and dispersion strengthening, and the service temperature of FeAl is expected to be above 700℃.
