Structural Features and Hydraulic Performances Analysis of Various Tubular Pumping Systems

Abstract
Keeping the pump model unchanged, the typical design parameters of suction boxes and dis-charge passages of three pumping stations existed are selected to constitute 3 different tubular pumping systems, and numerical analysis method is adopted to investigated the hydraulic performances of pumping systems. The results show that the hydraulic performances of tubular pumping system are closely related with the design of suction box and discharge passage's shape and size, and the maximum efficiency differ-ence in best efficiency point reaches to 10. 48%. The hydraulic loss of discharge passage is the key factor affecting pumping system efficiency, and optimal hydraulic design of discharge passage should be carried out depending on the different structural features of various tubular pumping systems.关键词
