Abstract
A new method for wideband digital beamforming (DBF) that can be applied in an electronic reconnaissance system was created. This new approach uses a simplified weight coefficient distribution method in the frequency domain based on spatial re-sampling. Compared with the conventional frequency domain method, the algorithm greatly reduces both the data sampling ratio and computation, and is easy to implement. An effective method for calculating target position was a prerequisite for the multi-beam amplitude-comparison direction finding system. For wideband signals which can bring about deflection of beam width and beam direction with changes in frequency, directly applying the multi-beam amplitude-comparison direction finding method generates larger errors. A computer simulation was run to analyze the relationships between directional accuracy, beamwidth and different channel gain-phase errors. As a result of this comparison, the simplified weight coefficient distribution method was proven practical.关键词
