Improvement Design of Gasoline Engine Cam Profile
摘要
Abstract
The widely used valve-train simulation software, AVL-TYCON, was applied to perform both kinematic and dynamic simulations for the valve-train of a four-cylinder gasoline engine. Simulation results indicate that the original valve-train has some design drawbacks,such as the plump coefficient of the intake and exhaust valve being cow,the contact stresses between cam and tappet being greater,which may lead to durability issues. The intake and exhaust cams were then redesigned via computer simulation optimization, which not only solved the primary design issues and but also improved the durability. The engine performance simulation results also indicate an improvement to the full load volumetric efficiency, which results in an increase of maximum engine power output.关键词
