Abstract
Objective:To explore the feasibility for reconstructing normal adult portal vein by using 64-slice spiral computed tomography, and therefore to observe the morphology of the portal vein, and find out its general distribution. Methods: After injecting constrast media through the median cubital vein, 153 volunteers underwent contrast-enhanced CT angiogra-phy of epigastric region utilizing 64-slice spiral computed tomography. Images were collected, and then the hepatic portal veins were reconstructed three dimensionally with volume rendering (VR). Results:In 3D reconstructed images, 83. 7% of the hepatic veins were classified into type a, while the type b, c, d and E occupied 7. 8%, 7. 8%, 0% and 0. 7%. Conclusion:64-slice spiral computed tomography is a useful tool to study the anatomy of the hepatic veins due to its advantage in 3D reconstruction, including complete and accurate display of the hepatic vein and its adjacent structures.关键词
