Abstract
SWGFS is an object-based file system with high availability and great capability, and has been adopted by many high performance cluster systems. With similarity to the other distributed storage systems SWGFS has difficulties in data management, such as lack of management tools and low management efficiency. The Information Lifecycle Manage-ment concept can solve all these problems. This paper prompts an object-based data management model, which introduces the management objects for SWGFS, and it manipulates file objects according the policies defined by users, so very good performance and accuracy can be achieved. The analysis of a prototype system proves the model which meets all the design goals.关键词
