Risk Assessment of Tropical Cyclone Disasters in Hainan Island Based on GIS
摘要
Abstract
According to the natural disaster assessment theory and method, Hainan Province which has frequent tropical cyclone activities and serious disasters was chosen as an representative area. Uniform evaluation criteria were formulated and data from database of tropical cyclone disasters for near 30 years in Hainan Province were collected and analyzed. On the basis of the tropical cyclone forming environment background and tropical cyclone disaster database, overall tropical cyclone disaster risk and the social economy vulnerability were considered, and GIS technology was used to combine the tropical cyclone risk assessment results with background essential factors of the human activities.关键词
