The Impact of the Loss on the Evolution of Incoherently Coupled Bright-Bright Screening-Photovoltaic Spatial Soliton Pairs

Abstract
In order to obtain the impact of the loss on the evolution of incoherently coupled bright-bright screening-photovoltaic spatial soliton pairs, taking the two mutually incoherent optical beams with the same polarization and wavelength as the input wave, the beam propagation equation in the absence of loss was numerically solved. The result showed that the loss not only resulted in the decrease of the amplitude of soliton pairs,but also resulted in the change of the shape of the soliton pairs. The soliton width increased as the propagation distance increased for bright-bright screening-photovoltaic spatial soliton pairs with low-intensity at the input;whereas the width of soliton pairs decreased initially as the increases of the propagation distance,and then returned to its value at the for the SP soliton pairs with high-intensity at the input. Though the effect of loss on the evolution of SP soliton pairs could be ignored if the propagation distance was short enough,the loss was eventually expected to destroy these soliton paris at long distance.关键词
