Abstract
The effects of different concentrations of low molecular weight chitosan(LMWC) (0. 5 mg/L, 1.0 rag/L,2.0 rag/L,4. 0 mg/L and 8.0 mg/L) on the freshwater crab's non-specific immune function by soa-king was studied in this paper. The indicators were measured in the crab's blood including blood corpuscle density, lysozyme (LSZ) activity, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, alkalinity phosphatase (AKP) ac-tivity,acid phosphatase (ACP) activity and the phenol oxidase (PO) activity separately on the 10th day, 20th day and 30th day. The result showed that LMWC can enhance the activities of LSZ, SOD, AKP, ACP and PO in freshwater crab,but had no significant effect on the blood corpuscle density. LMWC of different doses and duration showed different immunity enzyme activity promoter action. Low molecular weight chi-tosan could significantly increase the freshwater crab's immunity,when treated by 4 mg/L and 8 mg/L of LMWC for 30 days. According to these results,it was concluded that LMWC could be used as non-specific immune enhancer of the freshwater crab.关键词
