A Study on Anti-direct Path Interference Technology in Radar System Based on Opportunity Illuminator

Abstract
In a radar system based on opportunity illuminators, direct path interference from the illuminator would affect seriously radar target detection performance. To restrict direct path interference, the speed of convergence and track-ability of LMS, NLMS and improved NLMS are analyzed in this paper. Then adaptive filter algorithm of improved NLMS is applied, and the cancellation gain obtained is about 40 dB. Finally, the effect of filter order and parameter of improved NLMS on cancellation performance and SNR loss is analyzed, and typical parameters of improved NLMS are presented. Simulation results based on practical data shows the efficiency of the algorithm.关键词
