A Robust Adaptive Beamforming Algorithm in Coherent Jamming

Abstract
For the uniform linear array, a robust adaptive beamforming algorithm for rejecting the coherent jamming is presented. Firstly, the sampled covariance matrix is transformed by iterative Toeplitz processing. Thus, on one hand, the deeorrelation of co-herent signals is realized; on the other hand, the performance degradation due to the disturbance of noise subspaee is avoided. Then with the transformed covariance matrix, the eigenspaee-based beamforming is implemented. This method, therefore, not only solves the coherent jamming rejection problem in the case of beam pointing error, but also possesses relatively high output perform-ance when the number of sampling is few. The effectiveness of the method presented is demonstrated by computer simulation re-sults.关键词
