Abstract

To improve the efficiency of the corrosion diagnosis, a novel block dividing based approach was put forward. The intrinsic network of a grounding grid was divided into several small-scale sub-grids. A set of linear equations for conductance of the intrinsic branches in the sub-grid was deduced, as a result, the nonlinear iteration is avoided. A new automatic measuring system based on computer control was suggested. A dynamic planning based procedure to obtain the optimal testing schemes was proposed for the test based on conventional testing devices. An experimental grounding grid with sixty branches was used as an example. The results of corrosion diagnosis show that the proposed approaches are feasible with the testing works remarkably reduced.
