Expression of platelet-derived growth factor-BB in patients with lung cancer
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression levels of platelet-derived growth faetor-BB (PDGF-BB) and its role in the pathogenesis of the patients with lung cancer. Methods The levels of serum PDGF-BB in 30 patients with lung cancer and 20 normal controls were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA ). The levels of PDGF-B mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells were measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR).Results The serum levels of PDGF-BB and the levels of PDCF-B mRNA in peripheral blood mononuelear eells were significantly higher in patients with lung cancer, which were(389. 64±36. 42)pg/ml and (0. 928 7±0. 094 2), respectively, vs. (28. 36±8. 35 ) pg/ml and (0. 227 5±0. 038 4) in normal controls ( P < O. 01 ). Conclusions PDGF-BB may play a role in the pathogenesis of lung cancer. Testing the levels of PDGF-BB, PDGF-B mRNA may help with the diagnosis of lung cancer.关键词
