Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of total saponins from Conyza blinii on the proliferation of Hela cells and SPC-A1 cells. METHODS: The effect of total saponins from C. Blinii on the growth of Hela cells and SPC-A1 cells was observed by MTT assay. The change of DNA was detected by agarose gel electrophoresis and Western-blot assay was used to detect the effect of total saponins from C. Blinii on caspase-3 content of Hela cells and SPC-A1 cells. RESULTS: The MTT assay showed that the inhibition effect of 10-3~10-7 mol·L-1 total saponins from C. Blinii on the growth of Hela cells and SPC-A1 cells had clear dose and time dependence. Apoptotic cells had characteristic DNA ladder. The change of caspase-3 in cells had been observed. CONCLUSION : Total saponins from C. Blinii inhibit the growth of Hela cells and SPC-A1 cells by inducing cell apoptosis.关键词
