Numerical Analysis of Mechanical Properties of CNT Reinforced Nanocomposites
摘要
Abstract
In this paper, the plane strain models of carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced nanocompos-ites are established by ABAQUS software to investigate the overall macroscopic mechanical properties of nanocomposites. The influences of CNTs with different volume fractions, and different dispersion states, different alignments and different matrices on mechanical properties are studied. The reinforcement factors of CNTs and their effects are evaluated. Finally, the results provided by the present numerical model are verified with those obtained from a micro-mechanics based theoretical model and experiments. This work provides a powerful and simple method to evaluate the mechanical properties of new types of nanocomposites.关键词
