Sequencing and analysis of genomic repeat regions of three isolates of Marek's disease virus

Abstract
Genomic repeat regions of three Marek's disease virus(MDV) isolates in domestic were sequenced and analyzed.Comparing with the sequences available in GenBank,these strains belonged to an independent phylogenetic branch,and there was a high sequence homology among them.The long repeat regions of these strains,genome were about 12 kb in length with 43,40,43 predicted open reading frames(ORFs),respectively,and the short repeat regions were about 12 kb in length with 27,25,26 predicted ORFs,respectively.The unique and common amino acid mutations were occurred in some ORFs of these strains,which was the unique genetic characteristics of MDV-1 strains in domestic.The study will provide the research materials for the prevalence,genetic variation,protection and control of MDV in domestic.关键词
