Dynamic Characteristic Analysis of Gear/Damping Ring Composite Structure

Abstract
A bevel gear which is characteristic of high torque transmission,precise passing motion and high reliability,can transfer power and movement between intersecting axes.With the development of aeronautics industry,aero-gear has become more and more high speed,heavy loaded and light weight,and excessive vibration failure accident due to gear fatigue fracture often happen.Application of dry friction damping to reduce vibration energy is an effective vibration control method.In this paper,the dynamic characteristics of gear/damping ring composite structure are studied by plane stress assumption in the rotating state.By computing the contact pressure of the contact surface and translating it to contact stiffness based on Hertz theory,the composite structure equivalent FE(finite element) model was established with spring-link elements added on the contact surface.The influence of length,width and interference fit of the damping-ring on the dynamic frequency was analyzed.The result is useful for the rational design of the anti-vibration damping ring.关键词
