Test on mechanical and electrical behavior of composite of flexible thin-film solar cells and PVDF membrane
摘要
Abstract
According to the concept of building integrated photovoltaics,an elementary research on the tension membrane structures with integrated photovoltaics was carried out in this paper.Two types of composite were obtained by compounding the flexible thin-film solar cell strips with the PVDF membrane in the longitudinal direction of the membrane and in the transverse direction of the membrane.For each type of composite,tensioning tests were conducted in the direction parallel to the solar cell strips and in the direction orthogonal to the solar cell strips.The stress-strain relationship and the power output-strain relationship of the composites were determined.It is found that the tensile strengths of the composite in different directions are with in the range of 29.8~32.4 MPa.When the composite is tensioned in the orthogonal direction of the solar cell strips,the output voltage will slowly decrease as the strain increases.However,when the composite is tensioned in the parallel direction of the solar cell strips,the output voltage will suddenly decrease as the strain increases.The tensile strain that decreases the output voltage to 90% of its initial value is used as the control strain for the integrated design of flexible thin-film solar cells and tension membrane structures.This control strain is independent of the style of composite and the direction of tensioning,and is always around 0.03.关键词
