摘要

Abstract

Supercritical water oxidation(SCWO)is a new and highly effective technique for disposal of organic wastes.It has special advantages of disposing of wastes that are noxious or difficult to decompose.The paper summarizes its basic principles and applications for treatment of industrial wastes,and analyzes some of its disadvantages.These disadvantages refer to corrosion,salt precipitation and high energy consumption.Some possible approaches to resolving these problems are also discussed.
