Two Types of Granitoid Rocks in the Northern Margin of the Eastern Junggar Area and Their Geological Implications

Abstract
We have made a comparative study on petro-geochemical characteristics of the granitoid rocks in the northern margin of the East Junggar area. The result shows that two types of granitoids exist in the area, i. e. , orogenic cale-alkali granite and alkali-rich granitoid. There are similar magmatic affinities between some eale-alkali granitoids and adakite in northern Xinjiang, while alkali-rich granite exhibits similar rock geochemistry characteristics of alkali granite. These two types of granites occur in the subduction environment evolved from a continental collision orogenic belt and intraconti- nental post-collision environment, respectively. They coexist in the same orogenic belt evolution system in space. Cale-alkali granite was produced in the island-are environments and continental post-collision tectonic environments. Alkali-rich granite was the typical product of post-collision deep magrnatie activities, indicating the end of collosional orogene movement. Diversity of tectonic environments of cale-alkali granites primarily explained the tectonic environmental differences between Kalaxiangeer with potential of large scale porphyry mineralization and southeast to Laoshankou with IOCG mincralizalion.关键词
