Relationship between antioxidants and related enzyme activities during Feijoa fruit growth and development

摘要

Abstract

Feijoa(Feijoa sellowiana Berg.cv Coolidge) fruits were used to study the contents of total flavonoids(TF),total phenolics(TP),ascorbic acid(Ascorbate、Dehydrascrbate),glutathion(Glutathione,Oxidased glutathione) and related enzyme activities during growth and development.The results showed that the anabolism of TF,TP and glutathion were promoted one another and their maximum were found on October 30.The max value was 9.74 mg· g-1,10.41 mg·g-1 and 0.20 mg·g-1,respectively.Simultaneity,the contents of TF,TP and glutathion were accumulated with polyphenoloxidase(PPO) activity during fruit development and the correlation coefficient was r=0.934(P0.01),r=0.900(P0.01) and r=0.901(P0.01),respectively.In addition,the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),guaiacol peroxidase(G-POD) and ascorbate peroxidase(AsA-POD) were descended during fruit growth and development,and the negative correlation was present between these enzymes and antioxidant(TF,TP,Ascorbate,Glutathione).
