Inhibitory of an Antifungal Protein Produced by Bacillus subtilis C-D6 against Magnaporthe oryzae
摘要
Abstract
Bacillus subtilis C-D6 and its culture filtrate showed obvious antifungal activity against Magnaporthe oryzae in dual plate.An antifungal protein（AFP）,inhibitory to the formation of appressorium of M.oryzae,was isolated from C-D6 culture filtrate by using ammonium sulfate precipitation at 20% saturation and Sephadex G-75 column chromatography.SDS-PAGE analysis demonstrated that the protein was a monomer with molecular weight of 32 kD.Light microscopic observation showed that spore of M.oryzae treated with AFP formed bulbous germ tube and hypochromic swollen appressoria,and further development of germ tube was inhibited.Inhibitory activity of the AFP was stable at 80 ℃ for 30 min and in pH value ranged from 5.6 to 9.3.关键词
