Abstract
China Southern Power Grid(CSG) is a typical power grid with ultra-high voltage level,long-distance transmission,large capacity and hybrid AC/DC operation mode that has led to a complicated stability problem.As a result,low frequency oscillation incidents have occasionally taken place in recent years.The research on the control strategy for low frequency oscillation in CSG is of particular importance.A review is made of various kinds of recent low frequency oscillation faults in CSG,the principles of handling and technical method for their control.Based on the eigen-value analysis method,the oscillation types in summer peak operation mode in CSG are analyzed and the effects of low frequency oscillation control methods used by system operators are compared.The control strategy applicable to each specific oscillation mode is pointed out to further improve the system operator's skill at dealing with low frequency oscillation faults.关键词
