Study on mordant-free dyeing of flax fabrics with pigment from purple perilla
摘要
Abstract
The pigment from purple perilla was extracted with NaOH solution, and linen fabrics were dyed with the extracts.The optimal conditions for purple perilla extraction and the direct dyeing process were determined.In order to improve the dye-uptake and color fastness of purple perilla on linen fabrics, the fabrics were treated with fixing agent instead of the traditional mordant dyeing.The main factors affecting the fixation were investigated and the technology was optimized.The results showed that under the optimal conditions, fixation treatment could obviously improve the dyeing behaviour of linen fabrics.The dyeing results were berter than that of mordant dyeing.关键词
