Abstract

Taking LDPE as matrix material, PVDC as dispersed phase, LDPE-g-MAH as compatibilizer, the LDPE/PVDC/LDPE-g-MAH blend was prepared by extrusion and injection molding. The mechanical properties, barrier properties, crystallization properties and fracture surface micro-morphology of the blend were studied. The results show that the melting temperature of LDPE/PVDC blend decreased by 1.79℃ with the addition of 25% PVDC, the oil absorption rate decreased by 9.66%,and the mechanical properties decreased markedly. The adhesive strength between LDPE and PVDC was enhanced with the addition of LDPE-g-MAH, which improved the compatibility of the blend, besides the crystallization temperature and crystallinity decreased slightly, Compared with pure LDPE, after the addition of 3% LDPE-g-MAH, the elongation at break of the blend increased by 11.63%, the notched impact strength increased by 13.35%, the oil absorption rate decreased by16.29%, and the flexibility and barrier properties of the blend increased obviously.
