Effect of Coating-Treatment on Qualities and Physiology of Pomegranate Fruit During Storage
摘要
Abstract
[Objective] This paper studies the effect of coating - treatment on posthawest qualities and physiology of pomegranate to select the better coating - agent for maintaining qualities during its storage . [Method] Pomegranate fruits were used to investigate the effect of coating - treatment on weight loss, decay rate, soluble solids content, respiration rate and ethylene production during low temperature storage. [ Result] The coating -treatment could effectively reduce the decay rate, inhibit the increasing of weight loss and cell membrane permeability. The coating - treated fruits had higher titratable acid content than that of the control, but the soluble solid content didn't change significantly. The coating - treatment inhibited the ethylene production rate, and had little inhibition of the fruit respiration during storage. [ Conclusion] Coating - treatment could depress the decay,maintain qualities of pomergranate fruit during cold storage.关键词
