Abstract
Objective To study the changes of permeability of blood brain barrier (BBB) after traumatic brain injury in rats. Methods Rats were randomly divided into control group and brain injury group. Brain injury animal modes were established according to Feeney's method. Measurement of Evans blue (EB) in both cortex and hippocampus was performed at different time point after injury, and the EB extravasation was observed by fluorescence microscope. Results The content of EB in ipsilateral cortex and hippocampus was increased obviously at the time point of 1 to 6 h and 1 to 7 d after injury. The extravasation peak course was 3h and 3d after injury. Under fluorescence microscope, red fluorescence was observed in ipsilateral hippocampus 12h after injury. Conclusion After traumatic brain injury in rats, the BBB opening in ipsilateral cortex and ipsilateral hippocampus is biphasic. Zero-leakage-rate permeability is not exit between the two opening period.关键词
