Abstract
Objective To study the effect of gastroscopic lubricant in indwelling gastric tube for patients before gastrointestinal surgery. Methods 148 cases before the operation were randomly divided into control group in which conventional method to indwell the tubes was applied and experiment group in which 1 mL gastroscopic lubricant was put into patients ' noses who were required to keep the remaining 9 mL gastroscopic lubricant in the throat about 30 s before swallowing, then five to eight minutes later,conventional method to indwell the tubes was applied. Nausea, vomiting, bucking, as well as the rate of success and the time of the indwelling tubes were observed. Results Compared with control group, the incidence of nausea, vomiting, bucking was lower, the success rate was higher, and the time of indwelling tubes was shorter (P＜0.05). Conclusion Gastroscopic lubricant is beneficial to pain-relieving of the patients and shortens the indwelling time, which proved to be safe and effective.关键词
