摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore a new method for meniscal cysts arthroscopically using junction approach, and to evaluate its clinical outcome.Methods 24 patients with meniscal cysts combined with meniscal tears were treated at our institution, two patients of whose had associated anterior cruciate ligament injury.Cystectomy was performed arthroscopically through junction approach between the edge of the meniscus and the capsule of the knee joint while preserving meniscal tissue and suturing the meniscus.Results 23 patients attended the follow-up ( range, 26 to 50 months ).MRI evaluation showed no cyst recurred at final follow-up for all cases.IKDC score showed a significance improvement from ( 67.2 ±4.1 ) preoperatively to ( 89.6 ±5.7 ) postoperatively.Conclusions Arthroscopic cystectomy through junction approach is effective for removal of the meniscal cysts while preserving meniscal tissue to the most extent.关键词
