Abstract
Objective To analyze volunteer donors' willingness to take a second donation and factors influencing their choices,thereby to propose precautionary measures to increase the number of regular donors and establish a stable team of volunteer donors.Methods A self-designed questionnaire was applied to conduct a survey from January to December 2009 among 891 volunteer donors. Results A total of 622 donors showed willingness to continue blood donation, accounting for 69.8％, while 30.2％ (269/891) did not or did not suggest definite determination to take a second attempt. The interaction service quality during the blood donaion was the primary element affecting donors' decision, while the publicity of blood donation and donors' own feelings during the donating process serve as the followed impotant elements. Conclusion Blood donation service, blood donation promotion volunteer donors' experiences are the major factors that influence people's choice of a second donation. In order to boost the proportion of second blood donation, some measures such as enhancing the publicity of blood donation knowledge and policies, reinforcing the supervision and administration of the blood collection and supply organizations should be taken into effect.关键词
