Abstract
Objective To study the information needs of cervical cancer patients and related influencing factors. Methods 78 cervical patients were investigated by using general information questionnaire, K function scale( KPS )and IPQCP. Results The total score of IPQCP, mean score of diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and other dimension were 39.04 ± 7.42, 6.19 ± 1.28, 10.69 ± 2.63, 10.08 ±2.07 and 12.01 ± 2.43, respectively. The first three items which were selected most were item 4, 8 and 13, and 12 at “I want to know vey well”, and item 14, 16 and 10 were the first three at “I dont want to know”. The total score and mean score of diagnosis, treatment,prognosis and other dimension of the patients whose K score was equal to or higher than 80 was lower than that of the patients whose K score was equal to or lower than 70 ( t value was 3. 431, 2. 125, 2. 047, 3. 571 and 2. 319 respectively, all P ＜0.05 ). Young patients, white collar, well-educated and mental workers had higher scores at some items and greater information needs. Conclusion The scores of IPQCP and every dimension are related with patients' age, education degree, occupation and health status. When cure is given to cervical cancer patients, doctors should provide disease-related medical information and health needs for them.关键词
