Abstract
Objective:To explore the reasons and preventive measures of immediate conversions to open surgery during laparo-scopic cholecystectomy (LC) in aged patients. Methods:The clinical data of 3 212 aged patients treated by LC from Jan. 1993 to Jan. 2009 were retrospectively analyzed to determine the reasons for open conversion and preventive measures. Results: The overall conversion rate was 3.99% (128 patients ) , 127 cases of which were cured, 13 of which developed postoperative complications respectively, in-cluding4 incisional wound infection,1 abdominal residual abscess,3 pulmonary infection,2 stress ulcer,1 cholangitis,2 thrombogenesis in the deep veins of lower limb,all of them were expectantly treated, 1 died from stress ulcer on the third day. Conclusions:The keys to reduce conversion rate of LC in aged patients are paying attention to inquiring case history, perfecting preoperative examination, selecting indications strictly,standardizing operative procedures,and adopting special measures for aged patients.关键词
