Clinical studies of CO2 Laser in Reducing Pain in Orthodontics
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of local CO2 laser irradiation on orthodontic pain for the patients with first arch wires. Methods s 60 patients wearing fixed appliance were included in this study, 34 patients accepted local CO2 laser irradiation and 26 patients as a control group. Patients were then instructed to rate their levels of pain on a visual analog scale over time. Results:The level of orthodontic pain in local CO2 laser irradiation group were significantly lower than the control group. Conclusions Local CO2 laser irradiation will reduce pain associated with orthodontic force application.关键词
