Study on Computer Management of Hospital Pharmaceutical Information with JCI Standards

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To improve the quality of hospital pharmaceutical information management and pharmaceutical service. METHODS: Guided by the Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Standards, drug coding positioning system, oral unit dose dispensing system, prescription automatic screening system, prescription auditing system were introduced in the hospital information system. Pharmaceutical information service was innovated continuously. RESULTS: The intercepted near medication errors were increased from 405 cases in 2008 to 2 036 cases in 2010. The medication accident declined, from 49 cases in 2008 to 20 cases in 2010. The incidence of medication error dropped from 0.163 3%o to 0.058 4%o. Work efficiency was unproved and saved 20 - 25 min and 25 - 30 min on dispensary of injection and oral drug medicine. The incidence of drug repercussion dropped from 6.65%o to 3.35%o for injection, from 5.86%o to 1.28%o for oral drugs. Patient satisfaction was increased. CONCLUSION: The level of hospital pharmaceutical information management has been raised with JCI accreditation. JCI accreditation also has a positive meaning on the perfection of electronic medical records, the construction of national essential drug system and the regulation of drug production and circulation.关键词
