Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the related factors of senile ADR cases induced by antibiotics, and to provide reference for rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS: In retrospective study, database was established using Excel 2007. 2 031 senile ADR cases collected by Jiangsu Center for ADR Monitoring during Jan. 2008-Jan. 2009 were analyzed statistically in respects of age, gender, route of administration, drug combination, drug types and main clinical manifestations. RESULTS: Of 2 031 senile ADR cases, 13 category and 87 kinds of antibiotics were involved. Most of antibiotics-induced ADR were induced by quinolone in 858 cases (42.25% ); the following type was cephalosporins in 487 cases (23.98% ). Intravenous dripping was major route of administration in 1 740 cases (85.67% ). There were 71 severe antibiotics-induced ADR cases. CONCLUSION: We should pay attention to the safety of antibiotics use in the elderly patients and strengthen ADR reporting and monitoring.关键词
