Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To compare the reasonability of the prophylactic application of antibiotics in 3 kinds of type I incision operations in surgical department of our hospital before and after intervention, including thyroid surgery, breast surgery, repairing hernia surgery, and to investigate the effect of intervention measures. METHODS: 280 discharge cases which underwent 3 kinds of type I incision operations were selected from our hospital during Sept. 2008 to Nov. 2009 (before intervention) and Jan. 2010 to Mar. 2011 (after intervention). The rationality of the prophylactic application of antibiotics was compared before and after intervention. RESULTS: There was a significant decline in the usage rate of antibiotics after intervention, from 100% before intervention to 55.36% after intervention; the rational usage rate of antibiotics significantly increased, from 0% before intervention to 53.57% after intervention. There were still some problems,such as medication without indications, long medication duration. CONCLUSION: The intervention measure adopted by the hospital is effective and feasible, and can significantly enhance the antibiotics use during perioperation period and reduce drug cost. It has good effect on promoting safe, effective and economical application of antibiotics. But we should strengthen standard management further more.关键词
