Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Benfluorex tablets in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. METHODS: A multi-centers controlled randomized double-blind clinical trial was designed and conducted among 240 patients with type 2 diabetes, with metformin hydrochloride tablets as control. The changes of HbA,c, FPG, PPGw, PPG2, blood-fat,serum insulin levels were all tested. RESULTS: Benfluorex and metformin hydrochloride both significantly decreased the level of HbAiC, FPG, PPG1/2, PPG2,serum insulin in patients simultaneously. Benfluorex tablet also showed noticeable effect of lowering blood-fat with satisfactory safety. CONCLUSION: Benfluorex tablets possess favorable effects of lowering blood-sugar and blood-fat with lower dose and satisfactory safety, and they are suitable for clinical application.关键词
