Abstract
Objective To study the expression of Rac -1 and Ki -67 in primary pterygium by immunohistochemica method. The relationship among them was analyzed. The possibility was discussed utilizing of Rac1 and Ki-67 as s marker for assessment of biological characteristics of pterygium and we tried to provide reference for clinical practice Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to measure the expression of Rac1 and Ki -67 in 39 cases of primary pterygium and 12 cases of normal conjunctiva. Results The expression of Rac-1 and Ki-67 in primary pterygiurr were higher than normal conjunctiva with the difference being significant (Z=-3.386,Z=2.707, both P<0.05). Expressior of Rac1 and Ki-67 expression was negatively correlated (r=0.384,P>0.05). Conclusion Rac1 and Ki-67 expression ir the height of pterygium, suggesting that pterygium in the cytoskeleton, basement membrane breakdown and eel proliferation activity in metabolic changes.关键词
