Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To find the reasons of drug repercussion in out-patient pharmacy, and to promote rational use of drugs. METHODS: From Jan. To May in 2010, a total of 276 pieces of drug repercussion records were collected. According to Pharmaceutical Administration Regulation for Medical Institutions (trials), drug repercussion records were analyzed statistically in respect of the department of drug repercussion, reasons of drug repercussion, types of returned drugs, etc. RESULTS & CONCLUSION: The departments of drug repercussion are mainly cardiology department (96 pieces, 34.8%), followed by endocrinology department (40 pieces, 14.5%). The main causes of out-patient drug repercussion are dispensing errors (110 pieces, 39.86%) and usage and dosage errors (22 pieces, 7.97%), etc. Types of returned drugs are mainly antimicrobial agents (69 pieces, 25.0%) and circulatory system agents (55 pieces, 19.9%). It is urgent to establish drug repercussion system and the system of reward and punishment, spread rules and regulations vocational education, enhance the communication between the doctors and patients, improve patient compliance, strengthen pharmacy management and communication between pharmacists and doctors and develop medication consultation and guidance of pharmacists.关键词
