摘要

Abstract

For the purpose of developing a new constitutive model, a lot of testing data are required. Consequently it is necessary to reform the old type triaxial apparatus to an automated one. After analyzing the old apparatus system, based on the principle of triaxial testing method, reformations are conducted on the controlling equipments for confining pressure and back pressure. Consequently, the reliability is improved and the operation is simplified. The automation of displacement and volume change measurements are carried out. Finally, the reliability is verified by a series of tests for Shanghai clay. The reformation works reuse the out-of-date apparatus and improve the research condition. The reformation method can be used for similar apparatus.
