Abstract
Objective To study the therapeutic efficacy of manual massage, external applying Chinese herbs membrane and anti-itch cream to soften scar for treatment of early hypertrophic scar,and explore an effective and safe therapy for hypertrophic scars. Methods 160 cases with early hypertrophic scar were divided randomly into two groups with 80 cases each. The cases in treatment group were massaged with anti-itch cream to soften scar and applied Chinese herbal membrane; The cases in control group only applied herbal membrane and anti-itch cream to soften scar, without massage. These cases were treated for 3 months, the degree of scar softening, safety and patient satisfaction were analyzed. Results The scar in treatment group were softened partly after treated for 1 month, there was significant difference between treatment group and control group after treated for 2 to 3 months(P<0.05). No obvious side effects in both groups occurred. Conclusion The combination therapy of manual massage, external applying Chinese herbs membrane and anti-itch cream to soften scar for early hypertrophic scar demonstrated stable effects and high patient satisfaction rate, the scar softened rapidly, and no obvious side effect.关键词
