摘要

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Sik fibroin protein is a new type of bin mate rial that is beneficial to the adhesion and growth of skin cells, fibroblasts, osteoblasts. endothelial cells, and glial cells.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the feasibility of the silk fibroin protein as an ideal scaffold material for periodontal tissue engineering. METH ODS: Sik fibroin protein composite scaffolds were prepared through afreeze-drying method. The periodontal ligament cells (2 x 10(7)/L) were collected and seeded on three-dimensional framework of sik fibroin protein (1%, 10%, 50%, 100%). The cell growth and the influences of the sik fibroin protein extracts on cell proliferation and differentiation were observed. RESULT SAND CONCLUSION: The periodontal ligament cells adhered and proliferated on the three-dimensionalframafljokof sik fibroin protein, the different concentrations of sik fibroin protein extracts had no influences on the cell proliferation and differentiation. Silk fibroin protein can be used as an ideal scaffold material for cell adhesion and growth in periodontal tissue engineering.
