Abstract
The fast effective C/A code acquisition algorithm for weak signal has an important position in the high-sensitivity GPS receiver, and is also a key for the practical application of the high-sensitivity GPS receiver. According to the statistical characteristic analysis of the acquired signal relative amplitude values, this paper shows the primary cause that is difficult to acquire the weak GPS signal. The main advantages and disadvantages of the current data accumulation are discussed. Based on the analyses of GPS system and the navigation data format, a weak GPS signal acquisitionalgorithm is put forward in combination with the fast coherent accumulation and satellite position prediction. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm is feasible and can catch the satellite signal when SNR is equal to -43 dB. Field testing data indicates that the new algorithm can remarkably improve the ability to acquire more satellite signals.关键词
