Abstract
Objective To investigate the association of the prevalence of hypertension with its risk factors in staff working for public institutions in Qingdao, and provide a scientific evidence for their health service. Methods In Jan. 2008 -Dec. 2009, 10 660 persons who were working for public institutions in Qingdao had medical check up done at medical examination center of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College, of whom, they were divided into two groups: hypertension group and non-hypertension group. The meaningful variables were chosen by using single-factor unconditional Logistic regression, and analyzed by using multi-factor Logistic regression. Results The prevalence of hypertension was 25. 33%(2 700/10 660). Besides the prerequisite factors of age, gender and inheritance, the prevalence of hypertension was also related with some behavioral factors such as unreasonable diet, excessive smoking and alcohol consuming, sleep insufficiency, heavy working pressure and mental strain. In the hypertension group, the ratios of obesity, hyperlipaemia, hyperuricemia, and hyperglucemia were 43. 40%(689/ 1 593), 34.81%(940/2 700), 28. 89%(780/2 700), and 24. 82%(670/2 700), respectively; while that in non-hypertension group were 21.94%(940/4 285), 19. 85%(1 580/7 960) , 16. 83%(1 340/7 960), and 6. 03%(480/7 960), the differences between the two groups being significant (χ2 = 5. 672 ― 8. 527, P<0. 05). Conclusion The prevalence of hypertension in the staff who worked for public institutions in Qingdao was higher than that in ordinary crowd, the behaviour and metabolism were its risk factors. Effective prevention and cure measures should be adopted.关键词
