Abstract
Objective To assess mental health status in students of Qingdao University Medical College, and provide evidence for improving mental health education in medical freshmen. Methods By using "Chinese college students' psychological health assessment system", Qingdao University students were assessed. Results The overall condition of the students of the Medical College surveyed was good, but some of them had psychosexual disorders, dependency, social withdrawal, and self abasement; the scores of factors of social attack, paranoid, force, impulsion, and mental disease tendency (MDT) were lower than thatin entrants of Qingdao University (t=- 4. 747‐‐2. 790,P<0. 01). The score of impulse factor in boy students of the MedicalCollege was lower than that in Qingdao University (t= - 3. 053,P<0. 01) ; the scores of factors of social attack, paranoid, force,impulsion, and MDT in girl students of the Medical College were lower than that of Qingdao University (t= -3. 686‐‐2. 274,P<0. 05) I in students of the Medical College, the score of obsessions factor in boy students was higher than that in girl students (t=2. 996,P<0. 05). Conclusion The psychological health condition of the Medical College students accepted in 2010 is better, at overall average level, than that of Qingdao University, but there are some problems, such as psychosexual disorders, dependency, social withdrawal, self abasement and obsessions, exist in some students.关键词
