摘要

Abstract

An experiment on introduction and afforestation of Eucalyptus dunnii was conducted at the relatively high altitude of northwest mountainous areas in Xianyou County, Fujian Province. The hybrid of E. Veneer and E. Grandis, E. Grandis and hybrid of E. Grandis and E. Camaldulensis were chosen as control in the experiment. The results showed that E. Dunnii had a relatively good mass growth and cold resistance. E. Dunnii could be basically adapted to site condition at the areas with the altitude over 500 m . The annual average height, diameter at breast height ( DBH) , and volume-increment of whole stand of 2 ~ 3 -year E. Dunnii forest could reach 2.6~3.3 m, 3.5~4.0 cm and 8.2~23.6 m3/hm2 respectively, exceeded the mass growth value of Fujian provincial standard for short rotation industrial plantation of E. Veneer and E. Grandis x E. Urophylla. The E. Dunnii is suitable for afforestation in the areas with site type of grade 2 or over grade 2 and altitude of 700 m or less.
