Abstract

The velocity measurement date is inaccurate while light tracer is measured based on laser screen target. Aiming at this problem, a velocity measurement method of tracer based on laser screen target was proposed by analyzing luminous mechanism. A velocity measurement system was designed by using the construction principle of detection view field of laser screen target. Two-way signals of tracer shape and two-way light signals were acquired by high-speed data gatherer. The flight speed of light tracer by way of velocity measurement algorithm was calculated. The measurement system was certified in the velocity-measuring experiment of gunshot. The result shows that the principle of the method is feasible. The measurement system can not only measure light tracer velocity but also measure non-tracer mode bullet velocity.
